This is a plain-language summary of how Runway handles your data. Runway is an organisational tool and never gives financial advice, and this page follows the same rule: facts about what we do, not a pitch about how much we care.
What we collect
Whatever you type in: your spending figure, the plan settings you choose, the balances in your snapshots (super, investments, cash), any fund figures you edit in comparisons, your journal entries and steps. Plus the email address you sign in with.
Runway doesn’t ask for, and has no field for, bank, card, broker or super fund logins, account numbers, or your tax file number. Balances are totals you enter yourself; nothing is imported.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data, to anyone, ever.
- We don’t share it with advertisers, fund managers, product issuers, insurers, lenders or financial advisers.
- We don’t take payments from any fund or issuer, so nothing in a comparison is there because someone paid.
- We don’t generate suggestions or advice from your figures. Runway shows your numbers, never a recommendation.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase, hosted in Sydney, Australia. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, which also sends the sign-in emails. The app is hosted on Vercel. Upstash keeps short-lived counters used to stop repeated requests, not your content.
These are standard infrastructure providers under contract, and none of them is permitted to use your data for its own purposes.
How we’ll contact you
Only by email, and only about your account: sign-in emails come from our sign-in provider, and anything else from hello@glidma.com. Glidma will never phone or text you, never message you about investments, and never ask you to move money or share a login or code. If a message claiming to be from Glidma does any of those things, it isn’t from us.
Cookies
Only the ones sign-in needs to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Your data is yours
From Settings → Account you can download everything Runway holds for you: snapshots as a spreadsheet (CSV), or everything as one file (JSON). Leaving Runway doesn’t mean losing your history.
Deleting your account
Settings → Account → Delete my account removes everything you’ve entered and your sign-in straight away. Runway’s database keeps no backups, so nothing is kept afterwards.
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we only receive your name and email address to create your account. We don’t request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts or any other Google data.
Availability
Runway is run by one person. It’s free to use right now, and will stay that way for as long as it’s affordable to keep running. If that ever has to change, you’ll get a heads-up first, not a surprise, and you’ll always be able to download what you’ve entered.
